Let Us Remember The Fallen
Let us remember the fallen.
Let us remember those who paid the ultimate price so that we may remain free.
Let us remember the children who miss their parent, the parent who longs to see their child one more time, the comrade whose sleep is interrupted by memories and flashbacks of men and women taken too early.
Let us remember them all. At Arlington and Bull Run and in the waters of Pearl Harbor. At our cookouts and pool parties. In our everyday lives. Let us all pause and remember them. And strive as a nation to always be worthy of their sacrifice.
Franklin Roosevelt once said, “Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”
Let us all resolve to remember.
Wishing all a peaceful and safe Memorial Day.
