ABOUT MARLON

Marlon is a litigation attorney at Adam B. Reed & Associates. He maintains a diverse practice in matters ranging from personal injury, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. He works zealously to advocate for individuals injured by another party’s negligence. He represents bars and restaurants in Dram Shop liability and negligence cases. He also works with businesses to help resolve legal matters that arise from its operations.

Marlon was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. After undergrad, he worked for a couple of years in both business and accounting roles before deciding to simultaneously pursue a legal education at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

In law school, Marlon was awarded Outstanding Oral Advocate in the Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition. He also gave back to his community by performing pro-bono work at the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. When not in the classroom or giving back to his community, Marlon interned at the Grand Prairie City Attorney’s Office and at the El Paso Public Defender’s Office. Additionally, in the fall semester of his final year of law school, he worked as a Judicial Extern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Prior to joining Adam B. Reed & Associates, Marlon worked as an Attorney and Summer Associate at a mid-sized plaintiffs’ firm, where he handled both pre-litigation and litigation matters. There, he drafted documents and motions used in litigation. As a Spanish speaking attorney, he was able to build unique relationships with his clients thereby enabling him to provide better and more personalized legal representation.

Outside of work, Marlon is a tech enthusiast, avid traveler, and cruise fanatic. He enjoys purchasing vintage technology and restoring it to working condition. Additionally, he has traveled to over eighteen countries and has embarked upon a dozen cruises.
